Join us for an early summer session of Tea Meditation + Journaling. In this quiet, spacious session, we practice sitting with tea as a guide for meditation, paired with journaling exercises. This is offered with the intention of becoming a regular practice that grows with the passing seasons.

You’ll need the following to participate:
– A quiet place to sit, uninterrupted, for about an hour. Outside street noise may be pleasant, if you want an open window for fresh morning air.
– Cushion to sit on and light blanket if you are chilly.
– Small tea bowl or rounded coffee mug, about 8-10oz ideally.
– Thermos of hot water or electric tea kettle within arm’s reach. About 24oz of hot water total.
– Loose leaf, unflavored tea of your choice. For early summer practice, green teas are ideal.
– Hot water at preferred temp for that tea type. The water will cool as we sit, so a little on the hot side is ok. Something around 175-180F is good.
– A notebook and pen for guided journaling exercises.
