The quality of our breath, whether smooth and relaxed, or restricted and tense, is often an indication of our overall mental and physical health. It is the most directly available access point to bring our nervous system back into regulation. Pranayama is the traditional yogic practice of becoming more deeply aware and familiar with our breathing patterns, through techniques to gently release old patterns over time. Such intentional breathing is also inseparably linked to tea meditation practice, as tea affects the depth, texture, and pace of our breathing.

This serene, internally focused workshop incorporates mindful movement, posture alignment, and breath direction exercises with meditative tea drinking. You could enjoy this practice with any tea that feels good for you to enjoy right now, prepared in any manner.
