For years, I’ve had students in workshops ask, “Where can I go to do this more?”
This made me realize that online education for tea should be made available with the same intent and quality as in-person workshops: Something self-directed yet gently guided, rooted in natural curiosity, allowing people to learn about tea and practice at their own pace. Without the required goal or financial pressure of a certification program.
Being Tea’s online education program allows anyone – at whatever level they are or goals they have – to have access to supportive, independently produced tea education.
How membership levels work
Being Tea’s program is hosted on a platform called Patreon, and is offered as an affordable monthly membership for ongoing classes. The two levels for individual members are very simple:
One new class per month for $8 members, plus access to archive of 30+ classes, or…
… Two new classes per month for $15 members, plus class archive access.
Additionally. customized tiers for businesses and even private classes are available with this service.
Business Tier members receive access to regular group classes each month for their employees, plus additional private workshops just for your needs.
I make special consideration for small businesses in terms of pricing, as my mission is to make quality tea education accessible for everyone who needs it.
NEW classes are posted every single month!
All classes are recorded for anytime playback. They’re also livestreamed, so you can take them live if you like.
Topics include functional tea skills for both enthusiast and professional, as well as the exploration of tea’s usage in meditation and mindfulness practices. For someone who is interested in learning meditation but experiences difficulty keeping a practice, working with tea can be a very strong addition. All students receive access to both tea skills and tea meditation programming.
The overall goal of the Being Tea online program is to guide and empower students to engage with their tea more intuitively, in a way that can be integrated daily, both in work and in personal life. Rather than function merely as an A to Z catalogue of academic courses, topics are presented conversationally and seasonally, as the year unfolds, and always within context of other knowledge. This is how I learned tea early in my career, through apprenticeship and simply being around tea every single day.
Education and shepherding sensory, felt connections to tea is my personal passion – it’s why I’ve worked in tea as a trainer and educator for over 15 years. If you’d like to know more about my background and how I teach, visit my ABOUT BEING TEA page here.
