my tea altar in now late november. i shared this i my tea altar in now late november. i shared this in a recent class about the importance of cultivating tea space. the idea is not aesthetic, although it can certainly bring a visual joy. rather, the intention is to invite movement and connection to the world around us - and thus, our inner world. to make a space sacred. - the tea altar changes all the time, little motions. but always, for me, there is an offering of tea and of elements - wood, metal, water, light, earth - but also elements like sound, taste and smell (incense). - who is the offering to? only you know that answer (and you can totally keep that personal and explore for yourself what feels like a relationship that communicates back to you). it can be to yourself, to honor your divinity of existence in this life. it can be to nature, or the keeper of nature, in gratitude for this gift. it can be to Tea, in this same light. it can be to a god or spirit, or to ancestors. but no matter who we offer to, we are generous, intentional, and present. . . . #beingtea #livemoretea #intention #selfcare #altar #personalpractice #sacred #tealife #chadao #nature #worship #teameditation #seasons #goslow #tealover
