Tea meditation and yoga are powerful stress reducers and balancing skills that anyone, in any body, can learn.
In addition to my technical trade work with tea, I am also a Certified Psychologically-Sensitive Yoga Teacher.
I have been teaching tea meditation workshops since 2010, as an extension of my studies in traditional tea ceremony. In 2019, I completed a specialized 200-hour yoga teacher training with Room to Breathe Yoga in Chicago – bringing together two deeply therapeutic physical studies and philosophical traditions.
Tea meditation classes currently include guided meditation practices, comparative tasting and mindful tea preparation, and yogic breathwork exercises (pranayama), all centered around seasonal themes. You can also request yoga asana classes (the physical postures) along with tea meditation.
Classes may be presented as regular workshops (biweekly, monthly, quarterly), or as a limited series (4-8 topical classes).
Availability includes the Chicagoland area, or with advanced booking in other cities. Additionally, I can also teach these programs online in livestream or pre-recorded formats for your office needs.
